Anchorman 2
Anchorman 2 was a huge disappointment. the film tries to make a funny absurd film while at the same time satirizing news culture. it was incredibly mediocre and 30 minutes to long. i wanted to write a review but i have so little to say about this dud that this review is only a paragraph long. watch this when it comes to HBO and go see one of the other 20 movies coming out this month.

12. Easter eggs from season 4 episode 5 of arrested development

1. the fantastic four film made to keep the rights is a real story http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fantastic_Four_(film)
2. on all episodes the theme song is slightly different (George michaels for example features a wood block)
3. tobias read the eat part of (eat, pray, love) Lindsay read the love, and maeybe read pray
4. tobias told Lindsay to "go cry in your pie" which is something that buster does quite often
5.the film options that tobias has on the plane are "fantastic four, jane junk, homeless dad, and love undoubtedly"
6. tobias's shirt reads "shemaile"
7.the hospital tobias went to was called "city of hopelessness"
8.when tobias tips the black man you see the money being thrown back onto the bed.
9. at Carr's funeral you see a man flipping a sign in the background.

2. Barry is on trial for breaking into a school locker room, but he is not guilty when he cant reach over the gate. he is later seen buying a step ladder
3. Barry calls the knob a chachi which is a Scott baios (bob loblaw) character from Joanne loves chachi
4. the project was thrown in "not going forward development"
5. Michael asking about the development of the Andy Griffith show is a reference to the length between the seasons of arrested development.
6. Henry winklers "hey" with two thumbs up is a reference to his role on happy days

Gangster Squad review
Gangster squad seem's like a recipe for succes. some of the best working actors around, a great true story, and an impressive stylish director but in the end it felt off. the films story revolves around a group of 5 cops taking down a mobster in los angeles in the lates 40's, with josh brolin leading the screen. the film feels like a recipe. everything feels so fake and stilted that i have no connection to any of the characters. near the end a character died and i could only think of about three things they said even though they are on screen 30 minutes emma stone is wasted playing a mannequin who says cliche's and kisses ryan gosling. and sean penn plays every bad guy ever. all this being said the action is fantastic, showcasing a beautiful mix of intense action with breathtaking slow motion and it does a very rare thing. i can follow what is going on. the film is not a bad movie nor a good one but i dont really have any strong opinions on it. and i feel like my lack of feelings says enough.
